Ayatollah Khamenei and Ayatollah Sistani (may Allah protect them):
If you are confident that the owners of the money are pleased with your handling of it (regardless of whether the transaction or trade is valid or invalid), then it is permissible to handle it. However, this does not make your action permissible, nor does it lift the prohibition. For more information on this matter, you can refer to Question 288.
May you be successful in all good.
