Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei and Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may God protect them):

You are not sinful, for God Almighty says in His clear Book: {And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if one heavily laden calls another to carry some of it, nothing of it will be carried by him, even if he should be a near relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and establish prayer and whoever purifies himself, only he purifies for the benefit of his soul. And to Allah is the final destination.} [Fatir 17-18]

However, you must command him to do good and forbid him from wrongdoing, taking into account the levels of enjoining good and forbidding wrong, which are:

First Level: The obligated person should perform an action that shows his heart's disapproval and discomfort with the abandonment of good or the commission of wrongdoing, such as showing annoyance at the doer or turning away from him or refraining from speaking with him, or similar actions that indicate dislike for what he has done.

Second Level: To command good and forbid wrongdoing verbally:

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei (may God protect him):

If there is a possibility of achieving the desired outcome through advice and gentle speech, it is obligatory to do so, and it is not permissible to exceed this.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may God protect him):

This applies whether it is in the form of advice and guidance or otherwise.

May you be successful in all good.
