In response to your question, we would like to offer several recommendations:
First Recommendation: One of the greatest dangers is to live in a culture of magic and writings and to promote it. It is concerning when matters escalate to using these dirty methods, such as taking saliva, clothing, or hair from a person and placing it in a drain, grave, or throwing it at a door in water. Whether these methods have an effect or not, we must educate our children and families to reject this culture and to view it as a lowly culture practiced only by the ignorant. Therefore, there is an important educational message to teach generations to distance themselves from such trivialities and dirty methods.
Second Recommendation: We should not link the troubles we face to these matters. Failing in studies? It must be the evil eye! Struggling in a job? It must be the evil eye! Having an accident? It must be written for him or he is under a spell!
All of these are results of a weak culture and delusions. Most of these incidents are due to psychological issues that need to be addressed by a specialist, or they stem from growing up in an environment that has learned to attribute problems to envy and the evil eye, thus acquiring these delusions and attributing their failures to them. We must be precise in these matters and attribute issues to their real causes, not to imagined reasons or those invented by our minds or the cultures of our elders and ancestors.
Third Recommendation: The believer's duty is to rely on Allah, as stated in the Quran: "And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him" [Quran 65:3]. We should strengthen our connection with Him. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said: "I am content with what Allah has decreed for me and I entrust my affairs to my Creator, just as Allah has done good in the past, He will do good in what remains."
We should seek the real causes behind the disturbances and problems we experience.
Indeed, in the book 'Mafatih al-Jinan', which contains supplications, there are protective prayers that a person can take to alleviate disturbances and anxiety, such as the prayers of Fatimah (peace be upon her), Zain al-Abidin (peace be upon him), Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), Imam al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), and Imam al-Ridha (peace be upon him). There are also charms transmitted from the guiding Imams, charms against magic, the evil eye, and envy, all intended to remove anxiety and disturbances from the soul and connect it to Allah, the Exalted. "Indeed, the believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith, and upon their Lord they rely" [Quran 8:2]. "Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured" [Quran 13:28].
May you be successful in all that is good.
