Marriage to the Sister of a Boy Involved in a Past Incident

Question

A person asks about the permissibility of marrying the daughter of their cousin, who is also the sister of a boy with whom they had a past inappropriate relationship when they were younger.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may God protect him):

If an adult has committed sodomy with a boy, even if it was only partial penetration, the mother of the boy, his daughter, and his sister become permanently forbidden to him, regardless of whether they are related by blood or through nursing. It is also strongly recommended that this ruling applies if the sodomizer is not an adult or if the boy is not fully grown.

If someone has committed sodomy with a boy, even if it was only partial penetration, the mother of the boy, his daughter, and his sister become permanently forbidden to him, regardless of whether they are both young or old. The mother, daughter, and sister of the sodomized boy are forbidden to the sodomizer, but the mother, daughter, and sister of the sodomizer are not forbidden to the sodomized boy, according to the stronger opinion. The nursing relationships are treated the same as blood relations.
