Ayatollah Khamenei (may God protect him):
It is forbidden to violate the sanctity of believers without a legitimate religious reason. Therefore, if a person intends through their words and actions to violate the sanctity of believers, they would be sinful. A believer must be mindful of their actions and words towards others and should advise them if they see something that requires advice. This applies equally whether the believers are related or not.
For a definition of kinship, you can refer to Question 1493.

Ayatollah Sistani (may God protect him):
It is forbidden to insult, curse, humiliate, or belittle a believer, to frighten them, to disclose their secrets, to track their mistakes, or to belittle them, especially if they are poor. Anyone who does this intentionally is sinful. Therefore, a believer must be mindful of their actions and words towards others and should advise them if they see something that requires advice. This applies equally whether the believers are related or not.
For a definition of kinship, you can refer to Question 1493.
