Regarding the first matter:
It is important to note that the Twelver Shia and other Islamic sects agree, based on the transmission from our Imams and leaders, that he was buried in Al-Gharri, in the place now known in the city of Najaf Ashraf, and the reports about this are numerous.
As for who dug his grave, this has been mentioned in several narrations and discussed by a group of narrators.
It has been reported by figures such as Sheikh Al-Saduq (may his soul rest in peace) and Allama Al-Majlisi (may his soul rest in peace) in his book Al-Bihar as follows:
In a narration from Umm Kulthum, the daughter of Imam Ali (peace be upon him): The grave split open to reveal a tomb, and there was a stone slab with an inscription in Syriac: "In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, this is the grave dug by Noah for Ali ibn Abi Talib, the successor of Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), seven hundred years before the flood."
Allama Ibn Tawus (may his soul rest in peace) also mentioned this in his book Farhat Al-Gharri, citing Haban ibn Ali Al-Anzi from a servant of Ali ibn Abi Talib who said: (When the Commander of the Faithful was near death, he said to Hasan and Husayn: When I die, carry me on a bier, and take me out, and you will take care of the back of the bier, for you will be sufficient for the front. Then take me to Al-Gharri, for you will see a white rock. Dig there, for you will find a slab, and bury me in it. When he died, we carried him, and we were hearing a sound and rustling until we reached Al-Gharri, and there was a white rock shining with light. We dug, and found a slab with the inscription: (What Noah had reserved for Ali ibn Abi Talib). So we buried him there and returned, happy with God's honor for the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him).
As for the second question, you can refer to Question 7696.
May you remain under His protection and care.
