Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may God protect him):
Looking at the private parts of a distinguishable boy is based on obligatory caution, while it is not forbidden to look at the private parts of a non-distinguishable child, nor of a non-distinguishable girl. Of course, all of this is without any sensual pleasure or suspicion, otherwise, looking becomes forbidden.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei (may God protect him):
- A woman is allowed to look at the body of a prepubescent boy, even if he is distinguishable, provided that the look does not provoke desire. However, it is obligatory to avoid looking at the private parts of a distinguishable boy.
- A man is allowed to look at the body of a prepubescent girl as long as his gaze is not intended for pleasure. If it is, then it is forbidden; it is also obligatory to avoid looking at the private parts of a distinguishable girl.
