Peace be upon you.

Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah protect him):

Crying out loud for worldly matters invalidates the prayer. However, if it is out of fear of Allah or related to the Hereafter, it is permissible and is considered one of the best deeds.

Ayatollah Sistani (may Allah protect him):

Deliberate crying invalidates the prayer, whether it is audible or not, if it is for worldly matters or in remembrance of the deceased. However, if it is out of fear of Allah, longing for His pleasure, or in humility before Him—even for a worldly need—it is permissible. Crying for Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) related to the Hereafter is also permissible. If the crying is unintentional, such as being overwhelmed by tears, it may invalidate the prayer, even if the circumstances leading to it were not deliberate, as a precaution. However, if one can only pray while crying, their prayer is valid.
