And peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings. Know that this month is the first of the sacred months mentioned by God in His glorious Book. It has been narrated by Sayyid Ibn Tawus that the month of Dhul-Qi'dah is a time when prayers are answered during times of hardship. It has also been reported from the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family) that there is a prayer on Sunday of this month that holds great virtue. In summary, whoever performs it will have their repentance accepted, their sins forgiven, their adversaries pleased with them on the Day of Judgment, they will die in faith without losing their religion, their grave will be expanded and illuminated, their parents will be pleased with them, and forgiveness will be granted to their parents and offspring. Their sustenance will be increased, and the Angel of Death will be gentle with them at the time of death, making it easy for their soul to depart from their body. The prayer consists of taking a bath on Sunday, performing ablution, and praying four units (rak'ahs), reciting Surah Al-Fatiha once in each unit, Surah Al-Ikhlas three times, and the two chapters of seeking refuge (Al-Falaq and An-Nas) once each. Then, one should seek forgiveness seventy times and conclude with the phrase: 'There is no power and no strength except with God, the Most High, the Most Great.' After that, one should say: 'O Mighty, O Forgiving, forgive my sins and the sins of all believing men and women, for none forgives sins except You.' This prayer is applicable to every Sunday of this month. May you be successful in all that is good.
