Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may God protect him):
It is not disliked to engage in intercourse when the moon is in Scorpio. However, it is disliked to engage in intercourse during a lunar eclipse, a solar eclipse, at noon except on Thursdays, at sunset before twilight disappears, during the new moon, after dawn until sunrise, on the first night of the month except in Ramadan, on the night of the middle of the month and its end, during earthquakes, and during yellow and black winds.
It is also disliked to face the Qibla or turn your back to it, to engage in intercourse on a ship, while naked, immediately after a wet dream before performing a ritual bath, but it is not disliked to resume intercourse without a bath in between.
It is disliked to look at the wife's private parts, to speak without mentioning God, and to engage in intercourse while being watched—even by a boy or girl—unless it leads to something forbidden, in which case it is not permissible.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei (may God protect him):
It is not disliked to engage in intercourse when the moon is in Scorpio. However, it is disliked to engage in intercourse during a lunar eclipse, a solar eclipse, on days of black and yellow winds, during earthquakes, at sunset until twilight disappears, after dawn until sunrise, during the new moon, on the first night of every month except Ramadan, on the night of the middle of every month, on Wednesday nights, and on the nights of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr. It is also disliked to engage in intercourse while traveling if there is no water to perform a ritual bath, while naked, immediately after a wet dream before a bath; however, it is permissible to engage in intercourse multiple times without a bath in between, provided the final act is followed by a bath. It is recommended to wash the private parts and perform ablution before each act. Engaging in intercourse while being watched, even by a boy or girl, is disliked, as is facing the Qibla or turning your back to it, on a ship, speaking without mentioning God during intercourse, while being fully clothed, or when overly full from food. According to Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): "Three things destroy the body and may even kill: entering the bath while full, engaging in intercourse while full, and marrying old women." It is also disliked to engage in intercourse while standing, under the open sky, or under a fruit-bearing tree. It is disliked for the man and woman to share the same cloth; rather, each should have their own cloth, and they should not wipe with the same cloth, as this may lead to desire; it has been reported that this can cause enmity between them.
