Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah protect him):
Aside from the verses of prostration from the surahs that are prohibited for a menstruating woman to read, it is disliked for her to read the Quran outside of prayer times. This dislike means a decrease in reward. As for supplications, there is no objection to reading them as long as they do not include verses of prostration.

Ayatollah Sistani (may Allah protect him):
The dislike of reading the Quran for a menstruating woman is not established. However, she should not read the verses of prostration that require prostration. It is recommended to avoid reading anything, even the Bismillah, from the surahs that contain obligatory verses of prostration, which are (Al-Sajda, Fussilat, Al-Najm, Al-Alaq). As for supplications, there is no objection to reading them as long as they do not include verses of prostration. In particular, for a supplication that contains a segment which is a verse from the surahs of prostration, it is recommended to avoid reading that segment.
