Books on jurisprudence and narrators have discussed Ibrahim ibn Hashim, and the summary of the discussion is that he is praised. However, the debate among scholars is whether there is evidence of his reliability.
As a result, some researchers describe the narrations that include him in their chain as 'good' according to the established rules in the books of knowledge, although some scholars of narrators believe that there is no doubt or ambiguity regarding his reliability and status.
This is especially true considering what Sheikh Al-Tusi and Al-Najashi reported from the scholars: that he was the first to transmit the Hadiths of the Kufi scholars in Qum. Consequently, Al-Hilli, after citing the words of Sheikh and Al-Najashi, stated:
I have not found any of our companions criticizing him, nor have I found any explicit statements of his reliability, and the narrations from him are numerous, making it more likely to accept his words.
Here, we mention what the religious authority Sayyid al-Khoei, may God have mercy on him, stated in his book 'Al-Mu'jam', where he affirmed the reliability of the man, saying:
I say: There should be no doubt about the reliability of Ibrahim ibn Hashim.
All praise is due to God, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon Muhammad and his pure family.
