Peace be upon you. There are some websites and applications that offer the ability to perform Istikhara through them. This is done by completing all the prerequisites for Istikhara (such as performing ablution and making supplications) and then pressing a button to display a page from the Quran along with the result. Is this permissible, or is it a requirement to open the Quran by hand?

It is not permissible to rely on electronic means for Istikhara, as it is a form of supplication that requires sincerity and direct connection with Allah. The Quran should be opened by hand to seek guidance.
