Ruling on Counting Days of Stay After Traveling

Question

What is the ruling for someone who stays in a place for a few days, then travels to another place, and then returns to the first place? Should they continue counting the thirty days or start over? [AR_ID:5926]

Peace be upon you. According to Grand Ayatollah Khamenei and Grand Ayatollah Sistani, the individual must start counting from the beginning. It is not sufficient to add the previous days to the subsequent ones to complete the thirty days. May you be successful in all good.
