Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. According to Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may Allah protect him), there is no requirement for remembrance during recommended prostration, although it is recommended to say 'Thank you, Allah' or 'Thank you, thank you' one hundred times or three times, and once is also sufficient. According to Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei (may Allah protect him), there is no requirement for remembrance during recommended prostration, although it is recommended to say 'Thank you, Allah' or 'Thank you, thank you' one hundred times; three times is sufficient, and even once is enough. The best thing to say during prostration is what has been narrated from our master Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him): Say while you are prostrating: 'O Allah, I bear witness to You and I bear witness to Your angels, Your prophets, Your messengers, and all Your creation that You are Allah, my Lord, and Islam is my religion, and Muhammad is my prophet, and Ali, Al-Hasan, and Al-Husayn - counting them to the end - are my Imams. I take them as my allies and I disassociate from their enemies. O Allah, I beseech You for the blood of the oppressed - three times - O Allah, I beseech You by Your support for Yourself against Your enemies to destroy them by our hands and the hands of the believers. O Allah, I beseech You by Your support for Yourself for Your allies to grant them victory over Your enemy and their enemy, to send blessings upon Muhammad and upon those who are entrusted from the family of Muhammad - three times - O Allah, I ask You for ease after hardship.' - three times, then place your right cheek on the ground and say: 'O my refuge when the sects confuse me and the earth constricts upon me despite its vastness, O Creator of my creation, have mercy on me, and You were self-sufficient from my creation. Send blessings upon Muhammad and upon those who are entrusted from the family of Muhammad,' then place your left cheek on the ground and say: 'O You who humiliate every tyrant and honor every humble one, I have sought Your honor with all my effort.' - three times, then say: 'O Compassionate, O Benefactor, O Remover of great calamities,' then return to prostration and say one hundred times: 'Thank you, thank you,' then ask for your need, and it will be fulfilled, if Allah wills.
