Khums, in all its forms, is related to the item itself; however, the owner has the option to pay either the item or its monetary value.

Yes, the money you intend to pay from must also be subject to khums; otherwise, it must be calculated as well.

Additionally, you must calculate khums based on the price at which it can be sold to you.

You can fulfill your khums obligation from your annual profits, but you must also pay khums on the money you use to pay the khums.

It is also permissible to pay khums from the item itself, as recently mentioned by the office of His Eminence.
