Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may God protect him):

Signs of puberty for boys:

A boy is considered to have reached puberty when one of the following four conditions is met:

First: The growth of coarse hair on the pubic area, which is between the abdomen and the private parts.

Second: The emission of semen.

Third: Completing fifteen lunar years, which is approximately fourteen solar years, six months, and fifteen days.

Fourth: The growth of coarse hair on the cheeks and mustache.

However, the growth of hair on the chest and under the arms, as well as a deepening voice, are not indicators of puberty.

Signs of puberty for girls:

Completing nine lunar years, which is approximately eight solar years, eight months, and twenty days.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei (may God protect him):

Signs of puberty for boys:

A boy is considered to have reached puberty when one of the following three signs is met:

First: The growth of coarse hair on the pubic area.

Second: The emission of semen.

Third: Completing fifteen lunar years (approximately fourteen years, six months, and twenty days in solar years).

Signs of puberty for girls:

A girl is considered to have reached puberty when one of the following three signs is met:

First: The growth of coarse hair on the pubic area.

Second: Experiencing a wet dream.

These two signs are common to both boys and girls.

Third: Completing nine lunar years, which is equivalent to approximately eight years, eight months, and twenty-five days in solar years.

Note mentioned by Sayyid Khamenei:

The standard for the age of puberty is the lunar year. If the date of birth is based on the solar year, it can be converted to the lunar year by calculating the difference between the solar and lunar years (each lunar year is about 10 days, 21 hours, and 17 seconds shorter than the solar year, thus the age of puberty for boys is 14 years, 6 months, and 20 days, and for girls is 8 years, 8 months, and 25 days).

May you be successful in all good.
