Ayatollah Al-Uzma Sayyid Sistani (may Allah protect him):
Firstly, it is not permissible for anyone other than the child's guardian or someone authorized by them to hit the child for discipline if the child commits a forbidden act or causes harm to others. Secondly, the compensation for hitting the child is as follows, as a precautionary obligation:
A- On the face:
1- Redness: One and a half dinars of gold.
2- Bruising: Three dinars of gold.

2- Bruising: One and a half dinars of gold.
3- Blackening: Three dinars of gold.
