Peace be upon you.

Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah protect him):

Since Istikhara is meant to alleviate confusion, once the confusion is resolved the first time, there is no point in repeating it unless the subject changes.

There is no religious obligation to act according to the Istikhara, but it is preferable not to act against it.

Ayatollah Sistani (may Allah protect him):

It is advisable to act according to it, and it should only be repeated if the subject changes, even if it is through giving charity.

May you be successful in all good.
