Does the menstrual wash suffice for ablution?

The wash that suffices for ablution is only the wash of janabah (major ritual impurity). Of course, the precautionary wash of janabah does not suffice for ablution.

It suffices for ablution like the wash of janabah, although it is recommended and preferable to perform ablution before it.
