Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may God protect him):
A vow made by disavowing God Almighty, His Messenger (peace be upon him and his family), His religion, or the Imams (peace be upon them) does not hold. For example, saying: "I disavow God, or the religion of Islam if I do such and such" does not affect the sin incurred by breaking it. However, this vow itself is forbidden, and the one who makes it is sinful, regardless of whether they break it or not. A penalty is established for breaking it, which is to feed ten needy people, each with a measure of food.
Similarly, a vow of disavowal does not hold if one says: "If I do not do such and such, or if I do not refrain from such and such, I am a Jew or a Christian, for example." However, such statements should not be made by a Muslim.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei (may God protect him):
It is forbidden and not permissible to swear by disavowing God (the Exalted), His Messenger (peace be upon him and his family), the Imams (peace be upon them), or the religion, such as saying: "I disavow God, or the religion of Islam if I do such and such." It does not incur a penalty; it is invalid, and the one who swears is sinful.
