Ayatollah Sistani (may God protect him):
Fasting is prohibited on the two Eids, and on the days of Tashreeq for those who are in Mina, whether they are performing Hajj or not, and on the day of doubt regarding whether it is part of Ramadan. It is also prohibited to make a vow to fast as a form of gratitude for committing a sin, but it is permissible if it is a form of deterrence. Additionally, fasting continuously for a day and a night until dawn, or fasting for two days without breaking the fast in between, is not allowed.
It is permissible to delay breaking the fast until the second night if it is not intended as a fast, but it is recommended to avoid it.
