Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei (may God protect him):

Lying is forbidden, but what nullifies the fast is deliberately lying about God, His Messenger (peace be upon him and his family), or one of the Imams (peace be upon them). It is also strongly recommended to include all other prophets, the successors, and Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) in this ruling.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may God protect him):

Lying is one of the gravest sins, even if it does not harm others. The most severe form of lying is that which is directed at God Almighty, His Messenger (peace be upon him and his family), and the Imams (peace be upon them). However, what nullifies the fast is specifically the deliberate lie against God, His Messenger, or one of the infallible Imams (peace be upon them), as a precaution.

May you be successful in all good.
