Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Khamenei (may Allah protect him):
When a traveler returns to their homeland or to a place where they intend to stay for ten days, there are three scenarios:
First: If they arrive after noon, their fast is invalidated, and they are not required to continue fasting; they must make up the fast.
Second: If they arrive before noon and have broken their fast during the journey, their fast is invalidated, and they are not required to continue fasting; they must make up the fast.
Third: If they arrive before noon and have not broken their fast, they should intend to fast and their fast is valid; they do not need to make it up.

Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sistani (may Allah protect him):
When a traveler returns to their homeland or to a place where they intend to stay for ten days, there are several scenarios:
1- If they return before or after noon and have broken their fast during the journey, they do not have to fast in this case.
2- If they return before noon and have not broken their fast during the journey, it is recommended (on the safer side) for them to intend to fast and continue fasting for the rest of the day, and their fast is valid.
3- If they return after noon and have not broken their fast during the journey, they are not required to fast in this case, and it is not valid for them to fast, according to the safer opinion.
