The best source we found that could be related to this is what Sheikh Al-Tusi mentioned in his Tafsir, without citing a chain of narration. Here is the text:
"... And how can something be a proof if nothing can be understood from it? It was narrated from him (peace be upon him) that he said: (When a hadith comes to you from me, compare it to the Book of Allah; what agrees with the Book of Allah, accept it, and what contradicts it, cast it aside). Similar statements have been reported from our Imams (peace be upon them)..." (Tafsir Al-Tibyan by Sheikh Al-Tusi, Volume: 1, Page: 5).
However, there are credible narrations, some of which have been described as abundant, indicating the necessity of disregarding any hadith that contradicts the Book of Allah. Yet, the wording of these texts does not include the phrase 'cast it aside'; instead, expressions such as 'leave it' or 'any hadith that does not agree with the Book of Allah is falsehood' have been used.
The topic of discussion falls under the category of preferences in the field of conflict in the principles of jurisprudence.
