You are undoubtedly asking about the theory of evolution in its common understanding, or what is referred to as Darwinian theory.
Regardless of whether this theory is logical or illogical, and considering that it remains merely a hypothesis that science has not definitively proven, it is undeniable that it does not support the claims of atheists who seek to deny the existence of God Almighty. This is because it fails to answer the central and most important question: Who created the first element from which this process of evolution began? In other words, what is the first cause or the cause of all causes, as they say.
Moreover, this theory is rejected from a religious perspective, as religion has a different view on the origin of human existence on Earth. This theory is contradicted by the fundamental source of Islamic faith, which is the Quran, the word of God Almighty. According to the Quran, the first human to exist on this earth was a fully formed human being, endowed with complete human faculties, addressed and taught by God Almighty, and was even prostrated to by the angels. He was indeed a prophet among the prophets of God, as can be clearly inferred from the blessed verses of Surah Al-Baqarah:
From His saying:
"And when your Lord said to the angels, 'Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.' They said, 'Will You place therein one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?' He said, 'Indeed, I know that which you do not know.' And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, 'Inform Me of the names of these, if you are among the truthful.' They said, 'Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing and Wise.' He said, 'O Adam, inform them of their names.' And when he had informed them of their names, He said, 'Did I not tell you that I know the unseen of the heavens and the earth? And I know what you reveal and what you have concealed.' And [mention] when We said to the angels, 'Prostrate to Adam,' and they prostrated, except for Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers."
Until God Almighty says:
"We said, 'Descend from it, all of you. And if there comes to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer.'"
In other words, the most that can be said is that this theory of evolution contradicts what has been established by definitive religious texts regarding the origin of human creation. If there is room for discussion regarding this contradiction, it would be limited to proving or disproving the theory due to the lack of evidence for it, or interpreting religious texts in a way that aligns with the hypothesis if it were to be definitively proven. However, none of this relates to the matter of proving or denying the existence of God Almighty, as that is one issue, and this is entirely another.
For further benefit, we recommend reading the book "Motives Towards Materialism" by Martyr Motahhari, especially his discussion on "Monotheism and Integration" starting from page 62 of the book.
