Peace be upon you. The duties that a memorizer of the Holy Quran should embody include: 1. **Supplication**: Continuously pray to Allah for assistance in memorizing the Quran, knowing that the more challenging the task, the greater the reward. As narrated by Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): "The one who struggles to memorize the Quran with difficulty and has little memorization will receive two rewards." 2. **Daily Recitation**: Establish a daily portion of Quran recitation. 3. **Maintaining Wudu**: Keep ablution and perform it well when reading the Quran. 4. **Gratitude**: Recognize that memorizing the Quran is a great blessing from Allah that deserves gratitude. Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) said: "The ranks in Paradise are according to the verses of the Quran; it will be said to him: 'Recite and ascend,' and he will recite and ascend." 5. **Avoiding Arrogance**: Be cautious of pride in what you have memorized from the Book of Allah, and seek knowledge of the Quran for the sake of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) said: "O bearer of the Quran, be humble with it, and Allah will elevate you; do not be arrogant with it, or Allah will humiliate you." 6. **Acting Upon the Quran**: Implement what you memorize from the Book of Allah. Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) stated: "The one who memorizes the Quran and acts upon it will be with the noble and righteous scribes." 7. **Avoiding Abandonment**: Do not neglect the Quran. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever learns the Quran and then intentionally forgets it will meet Allah on the Day of Judgment with a leprous face, and every verse he forgot will be assigned to him as a punishment." 8. **Sincerity**: Be sincere to Allah in memorizing the Quran and learning its sciences. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever recites the Quran seeking fame and recognition among people will meet Allah on the Day of Judgment with a darkened face, with no light upon him." 9. **Healing the Heart**: Use the Quran as a remedy for the ailments of your heart. As narrated by Abu Ja'far (peace be upon him): "There are three types of Quran reciters: one who recites the Quran to gain wealth and power over people, another who memorizes its letters but neglects its limits, and a third who recites the Quran, using it as a remedy for his heart, staying awake at night and thirsty during the day, and standing in prayer in the mosques. Through these, Allah will repel calamities and grant victory over enemies, and through them, He will send down rain from the sky. By Allah, these are more precious in the recitation of the Quran than red sulfur." May Allah grant us and you success in memorizing, reflecting upon, and acting upon the Quran, following the Sunnah of the Prophet and his family, peace be upon them all.
